Reasoning

Posted on December 6, 2025December 6, 2025 By Richard

Human evolution, lost history, and independent thinking are not just abstract ideas—they are the threads that weave together our past, present, and future

There seems to be an abundance of information and theories about anything on the net these days. The news is full of interesting ideas, discoveries, and scientific advancements, yet it seems everyone is infatuated with useless news, gossip and what is just in front of their nose. Increasingly, we are told what we should believe, support and how to think. Are we entering another dark age where science and reason are only appropriate if it fits into a specific political mold?
Let us talk about recent discoveries pushing back the evolution of mankind. We are older than we believe, our discoveries pale in comparison to what we have yet to find or even dare to ponder. Evidence of man’s presence in Europe has been pushed back hundreds of thousands of years due to new findings. I find this interesting in that we are no longer sure of man’s actual age. Man is much older than we dare consider and was here well beyond the last great ice age. If there were any significant settlements, villages before the ice age in the northern hemisphere, it is safe to assume they were erased by glacial advancement and eventual retreat. Settlements are likely to be found in the oceans near current coastlines since it would be logical that significant settlements would depend on the supply of food and would follow or foreshadow mankind’s early dependency on the sea. It would be safe to assume, that finding river paths predating the ice age would eventually yield evidence of early man also although glacial erasure as mentioned earlier would have erased some evidence in the affected regions.
Neolithic cultures would have had contact with different branches of the evolutionary tree, and we can only ponder the effect wrought such as viruses, plagues, diseases, competition for resources, etc. How many of the viruses and diseases we have plaguing us today are the result of this still? A percentage of DNA is junk, or do we believe, if not, what is it specifically? Nothing is really junk, it is the remnants of mankind’s journey through time. A box in the closet of DNA with miscellaneous items too good to throw but not necessary enough to keep out. A sort of picture book we keep on our internal shelves. Cancer, aging, diseases may be in there hiding their time to strike us for some unknown offense our ancestors committed centuries ago. This is just speculation to get you thinking of course but how much of this is correct or conjecture? You must decide.
Now that we have discussed man’s past, where are we going now? To decide where we are going starts today, every decision we make during our lifetime decides our future. Will logic and reason win out, or will we fade into the ash bins of history as a failure? Well now I added a little drama to this article, how can I decide mankind’s fate?

  1. Politics: Learn it, do not depend on others to tell you what to believe or how to vote. Review all the issues yourself and never depend on commercials or the news. That person you cannot stand supports someone, think twice about why.
  2. Purchases: Buy carefully, if you feel strongly about an issue, why would you make a purchase from a company not aligned with your beliefs?
  3. News: Review not only what is going on around you but internationally also.
  4. Self-Reliance: Education, not only a proper one but constantly educating yourself on all matters of topics, if you know all the stats for a sports team, why don’t you know about what is going on in the world?
Not all areas are covered here, just a small primer for you to get the gears turning in your brain’s DNA.
In closing, what is more interesting, the latest fashion some reality rising star is wearing, what someone wore to the store, what some political talking head is trying to make you believe is important or finding facts and learning?
